OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University softball program is pleased to announce the signing of Alawna Mosher for the 2024 season. She is from Ozawkie, Kan. and attended Jefferson West High School.
Mosher lettered in softball at Jefferson West High School. She was selected to play in the 2023 Mo-Kan All-Star Game. Mosher was the first student from JWHS to receive the Kansas State Seal of Biliteracy for Spanish.
"We are excited to have Alawna joining our softball family," said OU head softball coach
Jay Kahnt. "She is a very good catcher that will add some great depth to our catching position.  Alawna will fit right in with our program with her character and work ethic.  We can't wait to watch her develop in our program over the next four years.  Looking forward to getting her on campus in August."
Mosher is the daughter of Shelly and Larry Mosher and plans to major in exercise science. Mosher played travel ball for the Lawrence Hummers under coach Terry Watts. She has played softball since she was three years old.
