Cheer Receives Three Superior Ribbons at NCA College Camp

MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Ottawa University cheer team competed at the NCA College Camp hosted by Northwest Missouri State University, July 29 through July 31. OU competed in the Advanced Small Co-Ed Open Division. The camp was a qualifier for the 2024 NCA National Champions.

The Braves performed well and punched their ticket to the team's 11th trip to the NCA National Championships. In that division last season, Ottawa placed third.

"The team did amazing at camp," said OU head cheer coach Jayna Dunlap. "They worked diligently to grow as athletes, leaders, and people. The skills they tried and mastered gives us an incredible start to the season! We can't wait to show Brave Nation all we've learned!"

Ottawa received a Superior Ribbon, the highest award, for Game Day Performance on July 30 and July 31. They received their third Superior Ribbon of the camp for their Rally Routine Performance on July 31. The Braves also received second place for their Rally Routine Performance on July 31.
