OTTAWA, Kan. - The #10 Ottawa University men's wrestling team is back in action for the first time in 2024 at the NWCA National Duals in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Friday, January 5th and Saturday, January 6th. The Braves will face #8 Providence College at 10 a.m. The Braves will face either Grand View or William Penn on Friday.
Ottawa won four matches at the Eagle Duals on December 16th. OU defeated Baker University, 33-14, William Penn 34-10, Central Methodist 42-6 and Friends 45-6.
Ottawa remains at #10 in the NAIA poll. Nine Braves are nationally ranked in their respective weight divisions. Braden Ledford is #23 in the 133lb weight division, Brandon Kidd Jr. is 19th in the 149lb weight division, Francis Morrissey is ninth in the 157lb weight class, Ben Mitchell is #20 in the 157lb weight class, Dayton Hill comes in at #10 in the 165lb weight class, Braden Anderson in ninth in the 174lb weight division, Jordan Lomeli is 23rd in the 174lb weight class, JD Perez is third in the 184lb and Tucker Tomlinson is ninth in the 197lb weight division.-
Ottawa earned ninth place at the NWCA National Duals in 2022. The Braves defeated Cornerstone University 33-10, University of Cumberlands 24-18 and Lindsey Wilson 19-15.
