Jaelyn Monhollon Named Head Cheer Coach

OTTAWA, Kan. – Ottawa University Director of Athletics, Janet Eaton-Smith, is pleased to announce the hiring of Jaelyn Monhollon as the head cheerleading coach.
 
"It's with excitement that we welcome Coach Jaelyn Monhollon to Braves Nation," said Eaton-Smith. Her energetic coaching style will rapidly spread among our cheer squad to help develop the holistic individual. Coach Monhollon is a certified coach gifted in team building, choreography, and technical skills. We are looking forward to the competition season and wish the coach and her team much success!"
 
Monhollon was a coach and tumbling director at Topeka Elite Cheer from 2019 to 2024. Before that, she was the assistant varsity coach and head JV coach at Washburn Rural High School (2019-2021) and Shawnee Heights High School (2016-2019).
 
Monhollon was a Washburn University cheer team member from 2017 to 2020. She coached three KHSAA Game Day State Champions and three Redline National Champions. Monhollon spent eight years as an All-Star Cheer Coach and earned a Top 15 All-Star Worlds placement. She was also an assistant choreographer for middle schools, high schools, and collegiate teams and managed tumbling, stunt, and school clinics. Monhollon was also part of G-Force Athletics from 2007 to 2013.

Monhollon has a Heads Up certification and is certified in CPR. She has been a member of USASF since 2017.
