(23) Softball Opens KCAC Play on Tuesday vs. (RV) Friends

The Braves split their double header with no. 18 Grand View University last Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa. Ottawa fell 2-0 in game one but rebounded to take game two, 4-2. OU hit .176 (9-for-51), scored four runs, hit one double, had a .196 slugging percentage, walked three times, had a .222 on base percentage, and was 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts.

This season, Ottawa is hitting .307, has a .386 on base percentage, and a .450 slugging percentage. OU has hit 14 home runs and scored 148 runs.

OU is ranked ninth in the NAIA in at bats (645), 12th in runs (148), 15th in hits (198), 25th in doubles (32), eighth in triples (9), 11th in home runs (14), fifth in RBI (137), 12th in extra base hits (55), eighth in total bases (290), eighth in walks (75), 27th in hit by a pitch (12), 30th in sacrifice flies (6), 15th in stolen bases (46), 40th in slugging percentage (.450), 43rd in WHIP (1.23), 36th in shutouts (4), and 12th in at bats against (600).

Addison Spencer leads the Braves in batting average (.385), Katie Enneking leads OU in RBI (26), and Ashlynn Mercer leads OU in ERA (1.81) and strike outs (33).

Ottawa has a record of 10-2 at Alumni Park this season. OU is hitting .359, is outscoring opponents 95-30, has a .502 slugging percentage, walked 40 times, has a .441 on base percentage, and is 31-for-34 in stolen base attempts.

Friends University has an overall record of 12-8, is on a two game losing streak, and has a record of 1-3 on the road this season. The Falcons enter Tuesday's game coming off a double header loss to (RV) Benedictine on March 9. The Ravens won game one, 8-1, and game two, 5-2, in Atchison, Kan.

Becca Dunn leads Friends in batting average (.484), Priscilla Mora leads the Falcons in RBI (18), Riley Wertz leads the team in ERA (2.95), and Laila Spracklen is Friends' leader in strike outs (54).

In games away from the Two River Sports Complex, the Falcons have a .355 (44-124) batting average, a .429 on base percentage, and a .516 slugging percentage.
