Men's Lacrosse Travels to Missouri Baptist for KCAC Opener

Ottawa, Kan.- The Ottawa men's lacrosse team looks open their conference season with a win as they travel to Missouri Baptist.

The Braves are coming off an 8-9 road loss to (RV) Benedictine. Vincent DeMarco scored four goals, and Luke Spells scored two. Reid McDowell and Jack Brackin scored one goal each. DeMarco, McDowell, and Gavin Nelson made one assist each. Jake Christopherson made nine saves.
Vincent DeMarco is the goals leader for Ottawa with 23 goals. Demarco is also the assists leader with ten, and Jack Brackin has six. Jacob Vincentini is the groundballs and faceoff percentage leader, with 75 and .586 (109-186), respectively.
Missouri Baptist is 1-9 on the season and 1-0 in conference play. Their lone win was an 11-9 home win over Columbia in their conference opener.
Brock Pleis and Reece Dotterer are the joint-goals leaders for Missouri Baptist with 11 goals each. Dylan Forbeck is the assists leader with 15. Forbeck is also the groundballs leader with 21.
This will be the eighth meeting between Ottawa and Missouri Baptist. Ottawa leads the series 4-3 and has won the last three in a row, including a pair of 17-6 wins in 2023.
