Men's Lacrosse Travels to Columbia

Ottawa, Kan.- The Ottawa men's lacrosse team looks to pick up another win as they travel to Columbia in a KCAC matchup.

The Braves are coming off a 10-6 road win over Missouri Baptist on March 23. Reid McDowell scored four goals, Luke Spells and David Wiley scored three and two, respectively. Braydon Francis scored one goal. Wiley, Ethan NewMyer, Vincent DeMarco, and Jack Brackin made one assist each. Jake Christopherson made eight saves.
Reid McDowell is the goals leaders for Ottawa with 24 goals. Vincent DeMarco is the assists leader with 11, and Jack Brackin has seven. Jacob Vincentini is the groundballs and faceoff percentage leader, with 83 and .596 (118-198), respectively.
Columbia is 1-7 on the season and 1-1 in conference play. Their most recent game was a 16-3 road win at Saint Mary on March 23.
Zach Baker and Matthew Cessna are the joint-goals leaders for Columbia with 13 goals each. Baker is also the assists leader with 10. Austin Scales is the groundballs and faceoff percentage leader, with 30 and .552 (58-105), respectively.
This is the eighth meeting between Ottawa and Columbia. Ottawa leads the series 4-3. The team met twice last season, with Ottawa winning the first matchup, 14-9, and Columbia winning the second, 15-14.
