OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University baseball team was swept by (RV) Tabor College on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Park. Tabor won game one, 13-6, and game two, 5-2.
Game One
Tabor took a 4-0 lead over the Braves in the top of the first. Ottawa cut into the Bluejay lead in the bottom of the third.
Marcellus Pearson singled to left field. A
Blaine Thomas walk put runners on first and second.
Cole Broughton singled to left, loading the bases.
Dylan Garcia scored Pearson and Thomas with a double down the right field line and the Braves trailed, 4-2. After a Bluejay pitching change,
Johnny Vulcano scored Broughton with a sacrifice fly to right, putting OU within 4-3.
In the top of the fifth, Tabor pushed a run across home plate to take a 5-3 lead. Ottawa again cut into the Bluejay lead with a run in the bottom of the sixth.

Tyler Farnham was hit by a pitch, and Pearson walked to load the bases.
Nicholas Sizemore's sacrifice fly to left scored Kelley and OU was down 5-4.
Tabor answered with five runs in the top of the seventh and three runs in the top of the ninth to take a 13-4 lead over OU. The Braves tried to rally in the bottom of the ninth. Broughton reached first after being hit by a pitch.
Jackson Alaniz hit a home run to left field and OU was down 13-6. That would be all the closer the Braves would get as Tabor took the 13-6 victory.

Game Two
Ottawa took the lead in the bottom of the first inning.
Tyler Farnham was hit by a pitch.
Nicholas Sizemore grounded out to first, moving Farnham into scoring position.
Cole Broughton's double to center scored Farnham from second and the Braves had a 1-0 lead.
Tabor tied the game in the top of the fourth, 1-1. The Braves retook the lead in the bottom of the fifth. Farnham singled to center. A sacrifice bunt by Sizemore moved Farnham to second.
Jackson Alaniz singled to center, scoring Farnham and OU led 2-1.
In the top of the seventh, Tabor rallied. The Bluejays scored four runs, taking a 5-2 lead over the Braves. Farnham singled to center in the bottom of the seventh, but the Braves were not able to stage a comeback and Tabor took the 5-2 victory.
