Baseball Hosts Sterling in a Three Game Series, Starting Saturday

The Braves are on a three game losing streak after losses to Avila University last weekend in Kansas City, Mo. Ottawa hit .250, had a .272 slugging percentage, a .400 on base percentage, was 5-for-9 in stolen base attempts, went 0-for-4 with the bases loaded, and was 8-for-29 (.276) with runners in scoring position.

This season Ottawa has a .281 batting average, a .376 on base percentage, and a .425 slugging percentage, OU has hit 20 home runs and scored 107 runs.

OU is ranked 50th in the NAIA in at bats (602), 37th in home runs (20), 50th in hit by pitch (30), 47th in ERA (5.11), 42nd in shut outs (1), and 30th in opponent batting average (.249).

Brent Swearingen leads OU in batting average (.460) and Johnny Vulcano leads the Braves in RBI (15). Zack Melendez is OU's leader in ERA (1.26) and strike outs (38).

The Braves have a record of 4-5 in the KCAC. Ottawa is hitting .340 with 18 doubles, 13 home runs, has driven in 56 runs, has a .524 slugging percentage, walked 39 times, has a .436 on base percentage, and is 19-for-29 in stolen base attempts.

The Warriors enter the three game series with the Braves coming off a 3-1 series loss to Dakota State on March 1-2. Sterling won game one, 3-2 but fell 5-4 in game two and 12-8 in both game three and four.

Through 17 games this season, the Warriors have a .326 batting average, a .445 on base percentage, and a .508 slugging percentage. Sterling has hit 16 home runs and scored 148 runs.
