OTTAWA, Kan. – The 2025 All-KCAC Teams have been released the conference office announced on Monday evening. Ottawa University's
Macy Roever was named KCAC Player of the Year, becoming just the third OU softball player to earn the honor and the first since 2012. Five other players joined Roever on the All-KCAC Teams. Roever was also named to the KCAC Gold Glove Team at center field.
Roever, a senior outfielder from Home, Kan., earned First Team All-KCAC honors to go along with her KCAC Player of the Year and Gold Glove selection. Through 48 games, she has a .470 batting average (71-151), scored 60 runs, hit six doubles, nine triples, and two home runs. Roever has driven in 31 runs, has a .699 slugging percentage, walked 15 times, has a .535 on base percentage, tallied seven sacrifice hits, stole 61 bases, has 86 put outs, and five out field assists. She is ranked 40
th in the NAIA in plate appearances (179), eighth in runs (60), 18
th in hits (71), fourth in triples (9), 39
th in total bases (101), second in stolen bases (61), 20
th in batting average (.470), and 21
st in on base percentage (.535).
Zoe Butts, a senior utility player from Houston, Texas, was named First Team All-KCAC. In 26 games this season, she has a .344 batting average (21-61), scored 10 runs, hit 11 doubles, two triples, and one home run. Butts has 20 RBI, a .639 slugging percentage, walked five times, has a .382 on base percentage, two sacrifice flies, one stolen base, 32 put outs, and five assists.
Lanie Becker, a sophomore pitcher from Topeka, Kan., earned Second Team All-KCAC honors. In 27 appearances this season, she has a 2.90 ERA and a record of 11-7. Becker has pitched two shutouts, recording 39 strike outs in 1301.1 innings. Opponents have a .264 batting average against her.
Devanie Medina, a junior catcher from Morenci, Ariz., was selected Second Team All-KCAC. Through 42 games this season, she has a .394 batting average (37-94). Medina has scored 22 runs, hit eight doubles and two triples, driven in 10 runs, has a .521 slugging percentage, walked seven times, has a .452 on base percentage, two sacrifice hits, six stolen bases, 78 putouts, and 24 assists.
Cesara Roque, a junior pitcher from Pasadena, Texas, was named Third Team All-KCAC. She pitched a no hitter in OU's game two victory over the University of Saint Mary on April 16. In 22 appearances this season, Roque has a 3.12 ERA, a record of 11-7, one shutout, and 32 strike outs in 107.2 innings. Opponents have a .281 batting average against her.
Kara Hafenstine, a junior infielder from Alma, Kan., earned Third Team All-KCAC honors. In 48 games this season, she is hitting .342 (51-149). Hafenstine has scored 44 runs, hit 10 doubles and five triples, drove in 30 runs, has a .477 slugging percentage, walked 19 times, has a .425 on base percentage, two sacrifice flies, 11 sacrifice hits, stole 28 bases, has 63 put outs, and 123 assists.
The Braves (29-19) will open the KCAC Tournament against Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Branson, Mo. on Tuesday, April 29. The game will begin 30 minutes after the 10:00 a.m. game has been completed.
