Women's Bowling Signs Jenessa Hernandez

Ottawa, KAN. - The Ottawa University bowling program and head coach Geoff Poston are pleased to announce the signing of Jenessa Hernandez for the 2025-26 season. Hernandez is a native of Gardnerville, Nevada, and is a transfer from Tennessee Wesleyan University.

At Tennessee Wesleyan, Hernandez averaged 184.07 for 29 games in her only season with the Bulldogs. Prior to that, Hernandez attended Douglas High School. At Douglas, Hernandez was a member of the rifle, raider, and bowling teams and was a captain in each, along with JROTC Color Guard. Hernandez has two Nevada State Youth Tournament titles as well as two Nevada Pepsi Championships titles. Hernandez also has a 300 game to her name. Hernandez as inducted into the Carson Country USBC Hall of Fame with the Star of Tomorrow Award in 2023.

Hernandez is the daughter of Jennifer Hernandez and is pursuing a secondary education major with an emphasis in mathematics. Hernandez is also a member of the Army National Guard.
