LEAVENWORTH, Kan. – The #13 Ottawa University women's wrestling team competed at the Spire Open on Friday. Two Braves took home first place,
KyLee Lindsley and
Hannah Jackson.
Daityn Webb placed third overall in the 110lb weight division, Webb won three matches.
Danika Metcalfe won two matches and earned fourth place in the 117lb weight division.
Peyton Hand,
Sigrun Metzger and
Madison Rich all placed in the 124lb. Hand earned fourth with a 3-1 record, Metzger also won three matches and got fifth and Rich finished sixth.
Kaydence Bonewell placed fourth in the 138lb and
Lainey Farley got fifth in the 138lb as well.
Haley Flores picked up third place in the 145lb and won three matches. Also in the 145lb weight division,
Kaitlyn Thorn won two matches by falls and placed fifth.
Hannah Jackson won first place in the 180lb weight division, Jackson won all five of her matches. Ryan Bretthauer placed fifth in the 180lb weight class, she secured three wins at the Open.
KyLee Lindsley won the 207lb weight class by going 4-0 on the day.
Faith Spicer placed second in the 207lb, by going 3-1.
