Ottawa Duo Sweeps Eighth Edition of Women's Flag Football Weekly Awards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Quarterback Anna Anderson and defensive back Kaysie Hart were instrumental for second-ranked Ottawa (Kan.) in a one-score win over No. 4 Kansas Wesleyan last week in Salina, and April 14, the duo claimed both NAIA weekly awards as Women's Flag Football Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.

Anderson, a first-year player from Kansas City, Mo., helped the Braves get to 12-1 by completing 27 of 33 passes for 232 yards. She was responsible for all four OU touchdowns in the 26-21 win, throwing three with a fourth on the ground.

The April 14 award is Anderson's second of the season, claiming the same honor back on March 10.

Hart was also instrumental in Ottawa avenging its lone loss of the season, breaking up a pass with 10 flag pulls.

With last Saturday's win, the Braves claimed their sixth consecutive Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference regular-season title. Ottawa concluded the regular season with a 10-0 mark in the KCAC and will host the conference's Women's Flag Football Championships April 24-26 at AdventHealth Field.
