Through the fall of 2013, Dippel has a singles record of 12-12. He has played both no. 2 singles and no. 3 singles for the Braves. In doubles, Dippel has a record of 14-14. He is tied for ninth in the OU record book in career singles wins (12) and is eighth in singles winning percentage (.500).
Fall 2013: Dippel played no. 3 singles in the fall season, finishing with a record of 3-4. He teamed with Matthew Barlow and Jimmy Brooks in no. 2 doubles, finished the fall season with a record of 4-4.
Spring 2013: Dippel, competing in no. 2 doubles, finished the spring season with a record of 7-4. He earned KCAC Newcomer of the Year honors. He played with Jacob Brendemuehl in no. 1 doubles for the Braves, finishing the season with a record of 7-6.
Fall 2012: Playing no. 2 singles, Dippel finished his first fall season in tennis with a record of 4-3. He earned his first collegiate victory over Hesston College’s Michael Oyer, 6-2, 5-7, (10-7). Dippel, playing no. 1 doubles, teamed up with Jacob Brendemuehl to finish the fall season with a record of 4-3. The pair won their first collegiate match together with an 8-4 victory over Hesston College’s Keenan Jensen and Ryan Hostetler.
High School: Dippel was a four year letter winner on the tennis court at Smoky Valley High School. He was a state champion in singles his junior season and finished second as a senior. Dippel helped lead the Vikings to a state championship his senior season on the tennis court.
Personal: Son of Ed and Syd Dippel ... born May 29, 1991 ... physical education major. Dippel was a member of the OU men's basketball team, finishing his eligibility in 2012-13. He was a First Team All-KCAC selection as a senior and finished his career with 1,354 points. Dippel was the first men’s tennis team signing since the 1991-92 season. His brother Quinn is a member of the Creighton University men’s tennis team. His mother Syd played basketball at the University of Kansas.
