Biography

Fall 2013: Barlow finished the fall season with a singles record of 5-3 and a doubles record of 6-2. He earned his first collegiate victory at the Bethany Invitational where he went 1-1 for the tournament. Barlow competed with both Chase Dippel and Jacob Brendemuehl in doubles. Dippel and Barlow won their first competition against the Johnson County Community College no. 2 doubles players. He teamed up with Brendemuehl to play no. 1 doubles, winning their first match against William Jewell College.

High School: Barlow was a four year letter winner on the tennis court, three year letter winner on the basketball court, and earned one year letter in cross country at Abilene High School. He was a four-time NCKL league tennis champion, three-time Kansas state qualifier with finishes of 2nd, 3rd and 8th, and a one-time regional tennis champion. Matt finished his senior season with an impressive record of 33-1 in class 4A.
