Outdoor 2015: Dains set a new school record in the 400M in the prelims at the KCAC Championships with a time of 59.09. She earned All-KCAC honors with her fourth place finish in the 400M with a time of 1:00.25. Dains was part of the 4x100M Relay team that ran a season’s best time of 50.77. She had a personal best time of 2:31.83 in the 800M at the Baker Relays. Dains was part of the 4x400M Relay team that ran a season’s best time of 4:17.79 at the KCAC Championships. She was also part of the 4x800M Relay team that had a time of 9:59.13 at the KU Relays.
Indoor 2015: Dains won the KCAC Championship in the 600M for the second time in her career with a new meet record of 1:39.41. She ran with the 4x400M Relay team at the KCAC Championships, finishing with a season’s best time of 4:19.10. Dains was part of the Distance Medley Relay (DMR) team that finished with a time of 13:33.71 at the Concordia Classic.
Outdoor 2014: Dains ran a personal best time of 1:00.84 in the 400M at the Tabor College Invite. She earned All-KCAC honors in the 400M.
Indoor 2014: In her only 200M race of the indoor season, Dains ran a time of 30.02 at the Scott Nisely Meet. She earned All-KCAC honors in the 600M by finishing second with a time of 1:44.52.
Outdoor 2013: Dains ran a personal best time of 27.42 in the 200M at the KCAC Championships. She finished with a season’s best time of 1:01.98 at the ESU Relays in the 400M.
Indoor 2013: Dains was named a KCAC Champion with a time of 1:43.10 in the 600M at the KCAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. She ran a season’s best time of 1:34.10 in the 600M at the Mule Relays. At the KCAC Championships, Dains competed in the 200M. She finished 11th with a time of 28.02.
High School: Dains earned letters in track and cross country at Chase County High School. She earned the Leadership Award at the University of Kansas Cheer Camp. Dains ran the 100M, the 200M, the 400M, and was a member of the 4x100M and the 4x400M Relay teams for the Bulldogs.
Personal: Daughter of Gloria Dains and Paul Dains ... born February 12, 1994 ... communication major. She enjoys watching her favorite movie “Bridesmaids”, eating spaghetti, and watching her favorite television show “Revenge”.
