2016: As a junior, Godfrey appeared in 11 games at safety. He finished the year with 47 tackles, 33 solo and 14 assisted. Godfrey had 2.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions and with one returned for a touchdown.
2015: In his sophomore season, Godfrey finished with 48 tackles (36 solo, 12 assisted), three interceptions, seven pass breakups, one fumble recovery, and one forced fumble.
2014: Godfrey played on the junior varsity team as a freshman.
High School: Godfrey earned three letters in football, four in wrestling, and one in golf for Ozark High School. He earned All-State, All-District, and All-Conference honors on the football field. He passed for 1,800 yards, threw for 17 touchdowns, rushed for 800 yards, and ran for seven touchdowns as a senior. Godfrey helped the Tigers to the 2012 Football State semifinals and was a 2013 state wrestling qualifier at 138 pounds.
