2016-17: Mitchell appeared in 31 games, making 30 starts on his way to being named Honorable Mention All-KCAC. He was also named to the KCAC All-Defensive Team. Mitchell averaged 11.8 points and 4.3 assists per game. Mitchell shot 37.6 percent from the floor, 37.3 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 74.5 percent from the free throw line. He pulled down 95 rebounds and finished with 135 assists and 65 steals. Mitchell scored a career high 28 points against Crowley’s Ridge College (11/11), had a career high nine assists three times with the last being against Friends University (2/9), and he had a season high seven rebounds twice with the last being against Oklahoma Wesleyan University (12/1). He finished the year ranked eighth in NAIA Division II in steals per game (2.09), 11th in total steals (65), 36th in total assists (135), and 37th in assists per game (4.3).
2015-16: As a sophomore, Mitchell played in 29 games and made 28 starts. He averaged 8.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. Mitchell scored a season high 23 points against Graceland University (11/14), had a season high eight assists versus Avila University (11/13), and had a career high eight rebounds against Crowley’s Ridge College (1/4). He had 11 double digit scoring games.
2014-15: Mitchell split time between the varsity and junior varsity levels. He played in five games at the varsity level. Mitchell made his first varsity appearance against Haskell Indian Nations University where he scored a season high two points.
High School: Mitchell was a three year letter winner at Booker T. Washington High School on the basketball court.
