Biography

2018-19: In his sophomore season, Gump played in 36 games with 22 of those being Tier 1 and 14 being Tier 2. He had a 6495 pin total and a 180.417 average. Gump had a season high pin total of 1224 and a 204 average at the Bronco Open.

2017-18: Gump played in 51 games his freshman season. He had a 9163 pin total and a 179.66 average. Gump had his highest pin total (1151) and average (191.83) at the Jayhawk Challenge.

High School: Gump earned four letters in bowling for Jersey Community High School. He helped JCHS to three IHSA Mississippi-Valley Conference Championships. Gump finished 21st at the 2016 IHSA Boy’s State Finals, helping the Panthers to a ninth place finish. He helped lead JCHS to a IHSA Boy’s Regional Championship in 2016 and 2014. Gump finished seventh in 2016 and second in 2014 in regionals. Gump was a two-time First Team All-Conference performer, earned the Special Achievement Award for Southern Illinois in High School Bowling, and was twice named to the All-Area Team. He has been bowling since he was eight years old and bowled his first 300 game at the age of 15. Gump has bowled three, 300 games and was named the 2016 Telegraph Bowler of the Year.
