High School: Blankenship lettered four years in football, three in baseball, and one in basketball for Grandview High School. On the football field, Blankenship was twice named Team Defensive Player of the Year, earned the MSHSAA Award of Excellence, twice earned All-District honors, and was a two-time All-Conference performer.
