2019-20: As a junior, Johnson averaged 6.5 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. He shot 46.9 percent from the floor, 43.3 percent from beind the 3-pt line, and 77.4 percent from the free throw line. Johnson scored a career high 18 points, had a career high seven rebounds, and a career high four assists against Bethany College. He had a career high three steals twice with the last being against Tabor College.

2018-19: Redshirt

Missouri University of Science & Technology: Johnson appeared in 17 games. He averaged 5.8 points and 2.2 assists per game.

St. Joseph's College: Johnson played in 15 games as a freshman before the school suspended operations at the end of that academic year. He averaged 2.3 points and 0.5 rebounds per game.

High School: At Waynesville High School, Johnson earned First Team All-State honors after the 2015-16 season. He was also named First Team All-Ozark Conference and earned First Team All-District honors. Johnson averaged 23.3 points and six assists per game. During his junior season, WHS was ranked first in Missouri Class 5.
