Biography
2024: Broughton was named Third Team All-KCAC as a redshirt junior. He started and played in 51 games in left for the Braves. Broughton had a .337 batting average, scored 36 runs, hit 15 doubles, one triple, and three home runs. He drove in 25 runs, had a .465 slugging percentage, walked 12 times, was hit by a pitch nine times, had a .396 on base percentage, and was 8-for-9 in stolen base attempts.
2023: In Broughton's redshirt sophomore season, he was named First Team All-KCAC and was selected KCAC Player of the Week once. He finished the season with a .369 batting average (73-198). Broughton scored 56 runs, hit 19 doubles, two triples, 17 home runs, he drove in a team high 56 runs, had a .742 slugging percentage, walked 14 times, was hit by a pitch eight times, had a .420 on base percentage, and was 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts.
2022: Redshirt
Eastern Oklahoma State College: In Broughton's two seasons at EOSC, he had a .324 batting average, a .415 on base percentage, and a .500 slugging percentage in 73 games. Broughton scored 55 runs, hit 16 doubles, one triple, eight home runs, drove in 76 runs, walked 25 times, and had eight stolen bases. Broughton was named to the NJCAA Division I Region 2 Team and earned a NJCAA Divisoin I Region 2 Gold Glove.
High School: Broughton lettered in baseball and basketball at Tushka High School. He was an All-State selection, was named the 2018 Bryan County Pitcher of the Year, earned Bryan County All-Region honors, and was named Bryan County MVP.
Personal: Son of Ed and Tami Broughton ... undecided on a major. Broughton played travel ball for the Haysville Aviators under former OU assistant coach Lance Spongeberg.
