2016: As a junior, Clayton appeared in 49 games and made 44 starts. He had 34 hits in 140 at bats for a .243 batting average. Clayton scored 23 runs, hit three doubles, two triples and one homerun. He had a slugging percentage of .314, walked three times, was hit by a pitch six times, had an on base percentage of .289, and went 3-for-5 in stolen base attempts.
2015: Clayton split time between varsity and junior varsity in his sophomore season. He appeared in five games, finishing with a .250 batting average with one hit in four at bats. Clayton had a slugging percentage of .250 and an on base percentage of .400.
2014: In his first collegiate season, Clayton appeared in 35 games for the Braves with 31 starts. He went 16-for-74 at the plate, finishing with a .216 batting average. Clayton scored five runs, hit one triple, drove in seven runs, had a slugging percentage of .243, was walked eight times, hits by a pitch seven times, and has an on base percentage of .344. He earned his first collegiate start and earned his first hit against Midland University (3/1). Clayton had two multi-hit games with the last being against Kansas Wesleyan (4/12). His 66 single season assists ranks him ninth in the OU record book.
High School: Clayton earned two letters in baseball and one in cross country for Roosevelt High School. Played American Legion baseball and earned Academic All-State honors on the baseball diamond.
