High School: Mallory earned letters in basketball and baseball for Lawrence High School. He was selected to play in the Greater Kansas City Coaches Association All-Star Game. As a senior, Mallory was named to the Topeka Capital Journal All-Class 6A Second Team, earned Wichita Eagles All-Class 6A Second Team honors, was named to the Lawrence Journal World All-Area First Team, earned First Team All-Sunflower League honors, and was named to the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association All-State 6A Second Team. He was selected to the Topeka Invitational Tournament All-Academic Team. Mallory played travel ball for the Kansas Cagers under head coach Jason McCoy.

Personal: Son of Mike and Kristin Mallory ... undecided on a major. His mother, Kristin (Scheufler) Mallory was a four year letterman on the basketball court at Ottawa University and is the Braves Athletic Hall of Fame. His grandfather Leonard Scheufler is also in the Braves Athletic Hall of Fame. He was a two-time NAIA All-American on the football field at OU and earned First Team All-American honors in 1966. Scheufler earned All-KCAC honors on the track 11 times for the Braves.
