2012: In her first collegiate season, Thompson appeared in 24 sets. She earned her first career start against Haskell Indian Nations University (8/28). Thompson had a career high 10 kills, 29 attempts, 13 digs, and earned her first career double-double against Southwestern Christian College (9/29). She finished the season with a .226 hitting percentage, four service aces, and 26 digs.

High School: Thompson earned four letters in volleyball and dance for Phillipsburg High School. She also earned one letter in track for the Panthers. Thompson was a two-time all-league, all-state, and all-conference performer for PHS on the volleyball court. She helped lead the Panthers to four Kansas 3A State Volleyball Tournaments, finishing third in 2008, second in 2009, fourth in 2010, and third in 2011.
