OTTAWA, Kan. – The (12) Ottawa University baseball team took two from Kansas Wesleyan University on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Park. OU won game one, 2-0, and game two, 2-1. The win in game one of the double header was Ottawa head coach

th coaching victory. He is just the third OU baseball coach to win over 100 games.
Game One
Ottawa took the lead in the bottom of the first inning.
Jonah Weisner reached first on a walk and then stole second. A ground out to the shortstop by
Tyler Farnham moved Weisner 90 feet from home.
Holland Boan hit a sacrifice fly to right, scoring Weisner and the Braves led 1-0.
That is where the score stayed until the bottom of the fifth.
Carson Johnson led off Ottawa's bottom half of the inning with an infield single. A ground out to first by
Luis DeLeon moved Johnson to second.
Zachary Spradlin hit a single to center, scoring Johnson to give Ottawa a 2-0 lead.
In the top of the sixth, Kansas Wesleyan had runners on the corners with one out.
Tyler Bryant struck the next batter out and then had a ground out to second to end the Coyote scoring threat.
KWU had only two batters reach base in the final three innings as the Braves took the 2-0 victory.

Game Two
Ottawa broke the scoreless tie in the bottom of the third inning. Spradlin singled up the middle. He then swiped second, giving the Braves a runner in scoring position.
Holland Boan singled to left, scoring Spradlin to give the Braves a 1-0 lead.
The Braves increased their lead in the bottom of the fifth.
Tyler Farnham reached first on a bunt single and them moved to second after Boan was hit by a pitch.
Connor Jeffers fouled out to first and Farnham tagged, moving to third. The throw to third went into left field and Farnham scored to increase the OU lead to 2-0.
In the top of the seventh, KWU made things interesting. The Coyotes had a runner reach first on a walk, leading to a pitching change by the Braves with
Creede Jeffers entering the game for
Hector Sepulveda. Jeffers struck out the first batter he faced for out no. 1. He then struck out the next Coyote for out no. 2. Kansas Wesleyan's Jones singled to center, putting runners on the corners. Another single scored one and OU's lead was cut to 2-1. Jeffers, however, was able to get the final out on a ground out to third and the Braves took the 2-1 victory.
