#13 Braves and #22 Tabor Meet in the NAIA Ball Podcast Series of the Week

The Braves are 35-5 overall and are in first place in the KCAC with a record of 23-3. Ottawa has won 12 straight games after sweeping Bethany College last weekend in Lindsborg. OU is two games away from tying the school record for most wins in a single season, 37. That mark was set just last season. Ottawa is 22-2 at home this season.

Ottawa's 12 game winning streak is its longest of the season and ties the longest in program history. OU won 12 straight games during the 1998 season, from April 18 to May 5, 1998.

Through 40 games, Ottawa has scored 355 runs and hit 63 home runs. The Braves have a .328 batting average, a .441 on base percentage, and a .566 slugging percentage.

Jonah Weisner was named KCAC Player of the Week for his efforts in OU's games against Avila University and Bethany College last week. He had a .571 batting average, scored six runs, hit one double, one home run, drove in seven runs, had a .857 slugging percentage, walked four times, was hit by a pitch once, and had a .684 on base percentage.

The Braves 355 runs are ranked third in the OU record book in single season runs scored. The school record of 428 set in 2017. In the last two seasons, Ottawa has scored 753 runs. Last season's 398 runs is ranked second in the OU record book.

Ottawa's 63 home runs are eight away from tying last season's school record setting 71 home runs. Holland Boan is just three home runs away from tying Rylan Cratsenberg's mark of 23 that he set in 2021.

The Braves have a record of 56-58 against Tabor College and is 3-2 in its last five games against the Bluejays. Ottawa won the series against Tabor in 2021, 2-1 and defeated the Bluejays 4-2 in the KCAC Tournament on May 5. OU won game one last season 16-12 and game two, 8-7 before falling in game three, 10-1. The first meeting between the teams took place on April 4, 1989 in Hillsboro. Tabor won the game 13-3.

OU's pitching staff has a 3.12 ERA which is ranked first in the OU record book. In the last four years under head coach Gabe Grinder, OU's team ERA is in the top four in the OU record book. The 2020 team holds the record with a 4.72 ERA.

Holland Boan leads the Braves in batting average (.460) and RBI (54). Tyler Bryant is OU's leader in ERA (1.96), and Hector Sepulveda leads Ottawa in strike outs (86).

Tabor College is 34-9-1 overall, is ranked 22nd in the NAIA, and is in second place in the KCAC with a mark of 22-5. The Bluejays have won seven straight games and are 11-5 on the road this season. Tabor's last loss came on April 9 in game two of its double header with York College in Hillsboro. The Panthers defeated the Bluejays, 10-2.

In 44 games this season, Tabor has scored 452 runs and hit 92 home runs. The Bluejays have a .360 batting average, a .450 on base percentage, and a .641 slugging percentage. TC's 92 home runs leads the NAIA.

Miguel Ramos leads Tabor in batting average (.430), Cody Moore is the Bluejays' leader in RBI (57), and Austen Seidel is TC's leader in ERA (3.01) and strike outs (94).
