Men's Soccer Picked Fifth in 2022 KCAC Preseason Coaches Poll

WICHITA, Kan. -- The Ottawa University men's soccer team was ranked fifth in the 2022 KCAC Preseason Coaches Poll. The preseason poll was voted on by coaches around the conference, released on Monday following this year's Virtual Media Day. The Braves received 86 points to place fifth. 

The Braves are coached by James Cottage, who enters his first year at Ottawa following four seasons at Bethel College. The Ottawa men's soccer team will have nine returning starters, and will add over 30 new signees from 14 different countries. Last year the Braves finished with record of 5-11-2 to place ninth in the KCAC regular season standings. 

OU will host a Friendly against Randall University on August 18th at AdventHealth Field. Ottawa will have six out-of-conference matches to begin the season, starting on the road at MidAmerica Nazarene on August 24th. The Braves host Kansas Wesleyan on September 16 in the KCAC Opener.
