OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University baseball team completed its sweep of Sterling College with a 12-0 victory over the Warriors on Saturday afternoon in five innings at Alumni Park. The game was called short of its scheduled nine innings due to the weather.
A little bit of rain did not slow down the OU offense on Saturday afternoon. Ottawa scored a run in all five innings, including scoring nine runs in the first three innings of play.
The Braves scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning to take the lead. With the bases loaded, 
Nicholas Sizemore hit a sacrifice fly to center, scoring 
Tyler Farnham to give Ottawa a 1-0 lead. Robbie Williams then reached first on a miscue by the Warrior catcher. 
Brandon Kelley and 
Cole Broughton cross home plate to give the Braves a 3-0 lead.
In the bottom of the second, Ottawa scored three more runs. With 
Jonah Weisner and 
Tyler Farnham on base, 
Cole Broughton hit his ninth home run of the season and OU led 6-0.
Ottawa increased its lead over Sterling in the bottom of the third inning. 
Pedro Astacio led OU's inning off with a double to center. 
Liam Vulcano walked and OU had runners on first and second.
Zachary Spradlin laid down a bunt and moved to third on an error by the SC pitcher. Astacio and Vulcano took advantage of that miscue and scored to give Ottawa an 8-0 lead. Spradlin was than able to score on a wild pitch and the Braves had a 9-0 lead.
The Braves scored two more run in the bottom of the fourth. With Astacio at third and Spradlin on second, Weisner singled to left, scoring both to give Ottawa an 11-0 lead. The Braves scored their final run of the game in the bottom of the fifth. 
Robby Williams scored on a balk and the Braves took the lead and the game, 12-0.
