WINFIELD, Kan. – The Ottawa University women's tennis team fell short to (RV) Southwestern College on Monday afternoon at the TH Vaughn Tennis Center. The Moundbuilders won the doubles point, 2-1 and had a record of 3-3 in singles.

Paula Persson and Priyanshi Sharma defeated Grace Roberts and Jasmin Hauska in no. 2 doubles, 6-0. Isidora Hrnjak and Alejandra Parra fell in their no. 1 doubles contest, 6-4 to Catherine Coe and Mariana Ochoa.

Hrnjak won her no. 1 singles match 6-4, 6-3 over Coe. Persson fell 6-1, 7-6 to Hauska in no. 2 singles. Sharama defeated Ochoa in no. 3 singles, 7-6, 6-3. Parra took a 6-2, 6-4 victory in no. 4 singles over Roberts. Lily Keimig fell 6-0, 6-0 to Ella Hartnett in no. 5 singles.

Ottawa (6-3, 2-1) returns to action on Saturday, April 1 with a road trip to Hillsboro, Kan. to play Tabor College. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
