GREAT BEND, Kan. – The Ottawa University baseball team fell 5-2 to Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Wednesday morning in its first game of the KCAC Tournament.
Ottawa took the early lead in the bottom of the second inning.
Pedro Astacio tripled to center field.
Lukas Rich hit a sacrifice fly to left, scoring Astacio to give OU a 1-0 lead.
The Braves extended its lead in the top of the fourth inning.
Zachary Spradlin hit his fourth home run of the season and Ottawa led 2-0.
In the top of the sixth inning, OKWU scored four runs to take a 4-2 lead over OU. The Eagles pushed one more run across home plate in the top of the seventh to take a 5-2 lead. Ottawa was not able to rally and OKWU took the 5-2 victory.
