Evangel defeated the Braves 72-56 on Jan. 6 in Springfield. The Braves earned the program's first win over the Valor on Feb. 21 in Wilson Field House, 72-65. The first meeting between the two teams was on Nov. 26, 1988 in Springfield. Evangel won the game 74-36. The Braves have never defeated the Valor in Springfield.
Evangel University is 3-6 overall and 2-3 in the KCAC. The Valor is 2-5 at home in their brand new AGFinancial Arena. EU opened the season with four straight losses. Since Nov. 20, Evangel is 3-2. The Valor enter Wednesday's game coming off a 78-58 victory over Bethel College in North Newton last Saturday.
