OAKLAND CITY, Ind. – The (RV) Ottawa University women's tennis team fell 5-2 to (RV) Oakland City University on Friday afternoon at the Outdoor Tennis Courts.

Paula Persson and Priyanshi Sharma fell in their no. 1 doubles match to Maria Trembach and Isabele Todorovic 6-1. Alejandra Parra and Valeria Rodriguez fell 6-2 to Liz Aristizbal and Cristina Hurtado in no. 2 doubles. Lily Keimig and Isidora Hrnjak were defeated 6-3 by Mariana Espinosa and Sarah Acevedo in no. 3 doubles and OCU took the doubles point, 3-0.

Keimig fell in her no. 6 singles match 6-1, 6-1 to Tiana Sparks and Oakland City led 2-0. In no. 1 singles, Sharma fell 6-2, 6-3 to Trembach, increasing OCU's lead to 3-0. Parra fell 6-2, 6-1 to Hurtado in no. 2 singles and the Mighty Oaks clinched the match 4-0. Rodriguez lost in three sets to Aristizabal in no. 4 singles 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. Hrnjak won her no. 3 singles match 5-7, 6-2, 6-1. Persson took a 7-6, 5-7, 10-5 win in no. 5 singles over Puente.

Ottawa (3-3) is back in action on Sunday, March 3 against Indiana University Kokomo in Kokomo, Ind. The match is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
