FULTON, Mo. – The (RV) Ottawa University women's tennis team fell 5-2 to no. 16 William Woods University on Thursday afternoon at the Suzanne Neal Memorial Tennis Complex.

Isidora Hrnjak and Lily Keimig fell in their no. 3 doubles match to K. Dimitrijevic and Sophia Hausner 6-0 and WWU led 1-0 in the doubles point. In no. 2 doubles, Valeria Rodriguez and Priyanshi Sharma lost 6-3 to Lena Greefs and Marcelina Kotylak and the Owls took the doubles point, 2-0. Alejandra Parra and Paula Persson, playing no. 1 doubles, lost 6-4 to Marta Calvo Larraz and Hanna Lindeboom.

Parra was defeated 7-5, 6-2 in no. 3 singles and WWU led 2-0. Hrnjak lost 6-3, 7-5 in no. 1 singles to Lindeboom and the Owls led 3-0. Paula Persson's 7-5, 6-2 win in no. 4 singles cut the deficit to 3-1. Rodriguez lost her no. 5 singles match 6-2, 6-2 to Dimitrijevic and WWU clinched the match 4-1. Keimig was defeated 6-0, 6-0 in no. 6 singles. Sharma won a hard fought three set match in no. 2 singles 6-3, 6-7(4), 6-2.

Ottawa (8-4, 4-0) returns to the court on Saturday, March 30 in Forest Park against Tabor College. The match is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
