OTTAWA, Kan. - The Ottawa University men's tennis team opened KCAC play with a 6-1 victory over Tabor College at the Campus Courts on Monday afternoon.

The Braves took the doubles point. Oscar Giorgio and Ben Russell won their no. 1 doubles match. Enzo Ceravolo and Bernardo Figueiredo were victorious in their no. 2 doubles match. Yuki Usuda and Daniel Sanchez earned a victory in no. 3 doubles.

Giorgio won his no. 1 singles match 6-3, 6-4 over Ko Osuga. Figuiredo defeated Ethan Kutz 6-1, 4-6, 6-0 in no. 2 singles. Sancez took a 6-2, 2-6, 6-0 victory in no. 3 singles over Jake Goertzen. Usuda earned a 6-2, 6-2 victory in no. 4 singles over Alexandre Bolijesic. Luis Figueiredo lost his no. 5 singles match 6-4, 6-1 to Peter Jost. Olivier Blanchet was 6-3, 6-0 in no. 6 singles over John Ferley.

Ottawa (4-4, 1-0) returns to the court on Thursday, March 13 against Missouri Valley College.
