WICHITA, Kan. — The Ottawa University men's tennis team secured a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Friends University on Saturday, claiming the match with a strong showing in singles play after a tightly contested doubles point.
Ottawa improved to 7-8 overall (6-5 KCAC) with the win, while Friends dropped to 5-7 (4-5 KCAC).
Doubles Competition
The Falcons took the early edge by winning two of the three doubles matches to claim the point.
Despite the win at the top spot, Ottawa trailed 1-0 heading into singles play.
Singles Competition
The Braves responded in a big way, winning four of six singles matches to secure the team victory.

- No. 2: Daniel Sanchez (OU) def. Gabriel Gomes — 6-2, 7-6
- No. 3: Jarmo Perez Wienese (OU) def. Rodrigo Torres — 6-4, 6-4
- No. 4: Valentin Corriger (OU) dominated Trey Lacy — 6-0, 6-2
- No. 5: Friends picked up a point with Ikuno defeating Parra — 6-1, 6-0
- No. 6: Friends added another as Bush defeated Wessels — 6-2, 6-2
