OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University men's tennis team defeated Missouri Valley College 6-1 on Wednesday morning in Forest Park.
 
Jarmo Perez Wienese and Enzo Ceravolo defeated Alecscon Deschamps and Alex Ballinger in no. 1 doubles, 6-4. Bernardo Figueiredo and Santiago Tartaglia took a 6-1 victory in no. 3 doubles over David Schlageter and Felix Ortola. In no. 2 doubles, Oscar Giorgio and Ben Russell fell 7-6 (3) to Alvaro Ruiz and Marco Bueso.
 
In no. 1 singles, Perez Wienese defeated Deschamps 6-4, 4-6, 6-3. Tartaglia took a 6-4, 6-2 victory in no. 2 singles over Ruiz. Russell on his no. 3 singles match 6-3, 7-5 over Alex Ballinger. Giorgio won his no. 4 singles match 6-3, 7-5 against Bueso. Ceravolo defeated Zakharov 6-1, 6-2 in no. 5 singles. Figueiredo lost in a three set match, 6-7(2), 6-4, 10-8 to Valentin Laser in no. 6 singles.
 
Ottawa (5-4) returns to the court on Friday, March 14 against Morningside University in Forest Park. The match is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
