CENTRALIA, Ill. – The Ottawa University men's tennis team was defeated 5-2 by (20) Oakland City University on Saturday afternoon.
 
Jarmo Perez Wienese and Enzo Ceravolo fell in their no. 1 doubles match 6-4. Oscar Giorgio and Ben Russell lost 6-3 in no. 2 doubles. Santiago Tartaglia and Bernardo Figueiredo were defeated 6-4 in no. 3 doubles.
 
In no. 2 singles, Tartaglia won 6-3, 7-6 over Jose Andres Perez Perez. Russell won his no. 3 singles match 6-4, 6-2 over Juanes Pinto. Perez Wienese lost 6-1, 6-3 to Siufi in no. 1 singles. Giorgio was defeated in three sets, 2-6 6-2, 7-5, by Nelson Ramos in no. 4 singles. Figueiredo was defeated 6-1, 6-2 in no. 6 singles by Samarbir Sidhu.
 
Ottawa (3-4) opens KCAC play on Monday, March 10 in Forest Park against Tabor College. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
