OTTAWA, Kan. – The (RV) Ottawa University men's tennis team captured at least a share of the KCAC regular season championship on Tuesday with a 6-1 victory over the University of Saint Mary. The championship was OU's first regular season title when they won the Heart in 1975 and its first KCAC regular season championship since 1951.
 
Jarmo Perez Wienese and Enzo Ceravolo defeated Evan Maritz and Nils Dueppe 7-5. Oscar Giorgio and Ben Russell was 6-3 over Carlos Grimaldi and Nudem Koyuncu in no. 2 doubles. Santiago Tartaglia and Daniel Sanchez won their no. 3 doubles match 6-2 over Leyton Ross and Jackison Contrucci.
 
Tartaglia earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory in no. 1 singles. Perez Wienese won his no. 2 singles match 6-3, 4-6, 6-1. Russell took a 6-1, 6-4 victory in no. 3 singles. Giorgio defeated Koyuncu 6-1, 6-2 in no. 4 singles. Ceravolo was 6-0, 6-2 in no. 5 singles. Figueiredo took a 6-2, 6-0 victory in no. 6 singles.
 
Ottawa (15-6, 11-0) finishes the regular season on Saturday, April 19 against Kansas Wesleyan University in Forest Park. The match is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
