SALINA, Kan. – The Ottawa University men's tennis team is moving on in the KCAC Tournament with a 4-0 victory over Bethany College in the quarterfinals on Wednesday at the Genesis Health Club.
Ottawa took the doubles point, 2-0.
Santiago Tartaglia and Daniel Sanchez won their no. 3 doubles match 6-2.
Oscar Giorgio and
Ben Russell took a 6-1 victory in no. 2 doubles over Zeke Mumford and Dylan Gwilt.
Tartaglia won his no. 1 singles match 6-2, 6-4 over Francisco Bravo. Perez Wienese took a 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 win over Martin Priban in no. 2 singles. Giorgio defeated Daniel Lozano 6-2, 6-2 in no. 4 singles.
Ottawa (17-6) will now compete in the KCAC Tournament Semifinals on Friday, April 25 at Bethany College against the winner of the Sterling College/Evangel University. The match is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
