Outdoor 2015: Whitaker earned All-KCAC honors with his second place finish at the KCAC Championships in the 110M Hurdles with a personal best time of 15.28.
Indoor 2015: Whitaker had a personal best time of 6.85 in the 55M at the NWU Quad. He ran a time of 24.65 in the 200M at the Scott Nisely Invitational. Whitaker had a time of 8.04 in the 55M Hurdles at the Dutch Classic. He was the KCAC Indoor 60M Hurdle Champion with a personal best time of 8.48. Whitaker was part of the 4x400M Relay team.
Outdoor 2014: Whitaker earned All-KCAC honors in the 110M High Hurdles with a season’s best time of 15.63. He ran a personal best time of 23.19 at the Bo Boucek Invite in the 200M. Whitaker qualified for the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships as a member of the 4x100M Relay team. They ran a season’s best time of 41.83 at the KCAC Outdoor Championships.
Indoor 2014: Whitaker ran a personal best time of 23.91 in the 200M at the MSSU Lion Invite. He ran a season’s best time of 6.90 in the 55M at the Dutch Athletic Classic. Whitaker ran a season’s best time of 9.64 in the 60M Hurdles at the KCAC Indoor Championships.
High School: Whitaker was a four year letterman in baseball, earned two letters in football, and three in track for Tatum High School. He helped lead the Eagles to the state semifinals. Whitaker earned Second Team All-District honors at receiver as a junior and was a Second Team All-District selection at receiver and defensive back as a senior. He owns the state record for a fumble return for a touchdown when he returned the ball 104 yards against New Diana High School on Oct. 21, 2011.
Personal: Son of Carl and Tabitha Whitaker … born June 11, 1995 … exercise science major. He is also a member of the OU football team.
