Biography

Briar Cliff University: Knigge attended Briar Cliff University for one year. He redshirted his freshman season on the basketball court and participated in track and field for the Chargers. At the GPAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, he finished 12th in the pole vault with a vault off 13-07. During outdoor, Knigge competed in the long jump and pole vault, qualifying for the GPAC Outdoor Conference Championships. He had a jump of 20-03 in the long jump and a vault of 12-05.50 in the pole vault.

High School: At Potter-Dix High School, Knigge was a four year letterman in football, basketball, and track. On the basketball court, he was the leading scorer and dunk contest participant at the Pan Handle Prep All-Star Game. Knigge also competed in the Mid Plains All-Star Game. He was a two-time First Team All-Conference performer, twice was named team MVP, scored over 1,000 points in his career, and averaged 18 points, three assists, and two steals per game as a senior. As a member of the Coyotes track and field team he was a three-time Nebraska State Track and Field qualifier, earning All-State honors in the pole vault and the 4x800M Relay. Knigge is PDHS school record holder in the pole vault and was part of the 4x800M Relay team that at one time held the Coyote school record. On the gridiron he earned First Team All-Region and All-Conference honors.

Personal: Knigge is the son of Steve and Mar-lynn Knigge and plans to concentrate on general studies before deciding on a major.
