Entering her senior season, Morgan is ranked fifth in career pitching victories (28), fifth in complete games (32), fifth in innings pitched (351.2), seventh in ERA (3.86), third in strikeouts (220), fourth in appearances (75), and third in starts (75).
2016: As a junior, Morgan finished the season with a record of 13-9. She earned Second Team All-KCAC honors, appearing in 28 games, making 25 starts, and pitching 14 complete games. Morgan had three shutouts, pitched in 154 innings, and struck out 98. She had a career high nine strikeouts against Oklahoma Wesleyan University (4/23).
2015: Morgan appeared in 23 games and made 20 starts on the pitcher’s mound in her sophomore season, earning Honorable Mention All-KCAC. She finished the year with a 3.34 ERA, a record of 12-10, 16 complete games, tallied 80 strikeouts, in 125.2 innings pitched. Morgan had a season high seven strikeouts against Southwestern College (3/28).
2014: In her first collegiate season, Morgan appeared in 24 games on the pitcher’s mound for the Braves. She finished the season with a record of 3-7 and a 6.13 ERA. Morgan pitched in 72 innings, striking out 42. She had a season high five strikeouts against Bellevue University (3/19).
High School: Morgan was a three year letter winner on the softball diamond for Paola High School (PHS). She has also earned three letters in basketball and two in volleyball for the Panthers. Morgan earned Kansas 4A First Team All-State, was a First Team All-Frontier League selection, and was named Tri-County Spot Light Pitcher of the Year in 2011. In 2012 she was a Kansas 4A First Team All-State selection, earned First Team All-Frontier League honors, and was named Tri-County Spot Light Pitcher of the Year. Morgan has led PHS to three Kansas 4A State Softball Tournaments, finishing third in 2010 and in 2011. As a sophomore and junior, Morgan finished the seasons with a 0.59 ERA. In 2011 she hit her first career grand slam of the sub-state semifinals and in 2012 Morgan hit her second career grand slam in the sub-state championship game.
Personal: Daughter of Bruce and Shannon Morgan … born April 11, 1995 … physical education and history major. She was the high school teammate of current Brave Amber Harris.
