The Braves swept its seventh conference series and won its ninth conference series this season last weekend with three victories over no. 22 Tabor College. Ottawa won game one, 17-8, took game two, 10-4, and won game three, 13-5. In the series, OU hit .388, scored 40 runs, had six doubles, one triple, and 12 home runs, drove in 36 runs, had a .816 slugging percentage, walked 17 times, had a .492 on base percentage, and stole seven bases.

Ottawa set four new single season team school records this past weekend. Wins (38), home runs (75), walks (217), and stolen bases (121). OU's 15 straight victories is the longest winning streak in program history.

Holland Boan became the program's new home run king with six home runs last weekend against Tabor. He leads the NAIA, the KCAC, and the Braves with 26.

Boan was named the KCAC Player of the Week for the fourth time this season. He had a .636 (7-for-11) batting average, scored seven runs, hit six home runs, drove in 11 runs, had a 2.273 slugging percentage, was walked four times, only struck out once, and had a .733 on base percentage in OU's three game series last week against no. 22 Tabor College. He hit three home runs in game one, two in game two, and one in game three against Tabor.

In 43 games this season, Ottawa has scored 395 runs and hit 75 home runs. He has a .333 batting average, a .445 on base percentage, and a .585 slugging percentage.

Holland Boan leads OU in batting average (.474) and RBI (65). Tyler Bryant is the Braves' leader in ERA (2.30) and strike outs (94).

Ottawa has three pitcher with 90 or more strike outs this season. Hector Sepulveda and Stephen Norrell have 90 strike outs. Tyler Bryant has 94. Norrell had 125 strike outs in 2021, which is the school record for strike outs in a season. The Braves have only three pitchers with 100 strike outs in a single season in program history. OU has a chance this season to have Sepulveda, Norrell, and Bryant named to the list. It would be the second time that Norrell has had 100 strike outs in a season and he would be the first Brave to do accomplish it twice. Stephen Norrell (125) in 2021, Eric Cordell (107) in 2009, and Brian Woods (102) in 2005.

Ottawa has a record of 39-39 against the University of Saint Mary and is on a five game winning streak against the Spires. OU won the first meeting this season on March 15 in Leavenworth, 23-5 and took game two in Ottawa on April 5, 16-1. The first meeting between the two teams happened on March 16, 2002 in Ottawa. The Braves won the game 10-0.

University of Saint Mary is 16-33 overall and is in ninth place in the KCAC with a record of 10-19. The Spires have a record of 6-17 at home and enter Tuesday's game coming off a 6-2 loss to Sterling last Saturday. Prior to that loss, USM had won four straight with wins over Kansas Wesleyan University (3-0), Avila University (9-6), and Sterling College (10-8, 12-2).

Through 47 games, the Spires have scored 213 runs and hit 19 home runs. USM has a .234 batting average, a .344 on base percentage, and a .336 slugging percentage.

Brendan Roop leads USM in batting average (.331), Roop and Peyton Garvin are the team's leader in RBI (27), and Drake Pingel is the Spires' leader in ERA (4.14) and strike outs (78).
