The Braves fell 3-0 to no. 20 College of Idaho in their first game of the NAIA Opening Round. Ottawa struggled to score with runners on base. OU was 0-7 with runners on and 0-4 with runners in scoring position.
For the seventh time in program history the Braves have won 30 or more games in a season. OU has an overall record of 35-13-1 and finished first in the KCAC for the second straight season with a record of 20-4, its sixth conference championship in program history.
Ottawa had 11 players named to the All-KCAC teams.
Casson Rasmussen was named KCAC Pitcher of the Year for the second straight season and
Jay Kahnt, for the second straight year, was named KCAC Coach of the Year. It is the sixth time in his career that he has earned the honor. First Team:

Justyse Rodriguez leads the Braves in batting average (.359),
Madison Bunfill leads the Braves in RBI (43), and
Casson Rasmussen is OU's leader in ERA (1.86) and strike outs (132).
Tuesday's game is the first meeting between the two teams.

The Lancers qualified for the program's first trip to the NAIA Opening Round as GPAC Tournament Champions. MMU defeated Midland 2-1 in the best of three series for the GPAC Championship. Midland won game one, 4-3, but the Lancers bounced back to take game two, 1-0 and game three, 2-0.
MMU fell to University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma 1-0 in its first game of the NAIA Opening Round. The Drovers won the game in the bottom of the seventh inning. Both teams has three hits but the Lancers finished the game with three errors.
The Lancers are ranked 34th in the NAIA in runs (298), 32nd in doubles (86), 22nd in triples (17), ninth in home runs (47), 31st in RBI (274), 15th in extra base hits (150), 22nd in total bases (674), 29th in walks (148), 49th in on base percentage (.387), and 16th in slugging percentage (.514).
Through 47 games, the Lancers have scored 298 runs and have hit 47 home runs. MMU has a .315 batting average, a .387 on base percentage, and a .514 slugging percentage.
Elliot Burns leads MMU in batting average (.511) and RBI (64). Maureena Vornhagen is the Lancers' leader in ERA (2.62) and strike outs (112).
