OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University men's tennis team stayed undefeated in KCAC play with a 7-0 victory over Bethany College in Forest Park on Saturday afternoon. The Braves won the doubles point 3-0 and had a record of 6-0 in singles.

Oscar Aguilera and Erik Czapinski won by default in no. 3 doubles. Jhoel Quinonez and Santiago Tartaglia won their no. 2 doubles match 6-0 over Zeke Mumford and Carols Rodriguez to capture the doubles point. Julian Toloza and Kevin Ugarteche took a 7-6 victory in no. 1 doubles over Franco Hernandez and Daniel Lozano.

Czapinski won his no. 6 singles match by default to give the Braves a 2-0 lead. Ugarteche's victory in no. 3 singles, 6-3, 3-0, retired, over Lozano gave Ottawa a 3-0 lead over the Swedes. The Braves clinched the match with Quinonez's 6-2, 6-1 victory in no. 2 singles over Mumford, 4-0. Tartaglia won his no. 1 singles match 7-5, 6-4 over Hernandez. Toloaz defeated Rodriguez 6-1, 6-1 in no. 4 singles. Aguilera earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory in no. 5 singles over Ajejandro Rico.

Ottawa (11-2, 7-0) will now host the University of Saint Mary on the campus courts at the Dick Peters Memorial Sports Complex on Thursday, April 13. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
