2013: As a junior, Stratton appeared in 10 games and made four starts as a pitcher. He finished the season with a record of 1-2. In 20 innings pitched Stratton struck out 12, had a 13.95 ERA, and didn’t allow a homerun.

2012: In his first season at the varsity level Stratton played both in the field and was a member of the Braves pitching rotation. He appeared in 15 games as a pitcher, finishing the season with a 4-4 record and an 8.46 ERA. Stratton started in seven games and pitched three complete games. He pitched in 50 innings and tallied 33 strikeouts

2011: Stratton was a member of the Braves junior varsity in his first collegiate season. He appeared in four games, making three starts. Stratton went 1-for-7 for a .143 batting average. He had a slugging percentage of .286 and an on base percentage of .455.

High School: Stratton was a three year letter winner for Turner High School. He helped the Bears to the Kansas 5A State Tournament held at Washburn University in 2009. He was a First Team All-Kaw Valley catcher in 2009.
