2020: Johnson earned First Team All-KCAC honors for the second time in his career after being named Second Team as a junior. He was twice named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week. Johnson led the Braves in tackles with 124 (55 solo/69 assisted), which is ranked seventh in the OU record book. He had 13 tackles for loss, four sacks, one interception, two pass breakups, three fumbles recovered, and two forced fumbles. Johnson finished the year ranked fifth in the NAIA in tackles per game (12.4), 21st in total tackles for loss (13), and 50th in tackles for loss per game (1.3).
2019: Johnson earned Second Team All-KCAC honors at linebacker as a junior. He had 109 tackles (55 solo/54 assisted). Johnson finished the year with four sacks and recovered one fumble. He was ranked 11th in the NAIA in tackles per game (10.9) and 33rd in fumbles forced per game (0.2). Johnson had a season high 15 tackles versus Friends University and a career high four tackles for loss against the University of Saint Mary.
2018: In his first full year as a starter, Johnson earned First Team All-KCAC honors at linebacker. He had 90 tackles (45 solo/45 assisted), 2.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery. Johnson had a season high 14 tackles twice with the last being against Sterling College.
2017: Johnson played on the OU special teams as a freshman. He finished the year with eight tackles (2 solo, 6 assisted).
High School: Johnson lettered in football and basketball for El Dorado High School. He was an Honorable Mention All-League selection at linebacker and was a member of El Dorado High's National Honor Society. As a senior on the football field, Johnson started all nine games, finishing with 59 tackles (37 UA/22S), eight tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovered for a touchdown. He was named team captain and was a member of the Leadership Council.
