Eastern Oklahoma State College: Reece spent two seasons at EOSU. He appeared in 20 games, finishing with a record of 2-1, one save, a 4.15 ERA, 17.1 innings pitched, and 20 strikeouts. In just nine games as a sophomore, Reece had a 1.59 ERA with seven strikeouts.
