Biography

2012: Kolenda redshirted his sophomore season at OU.

2011: In his freshman season Kolenda speared in 11 games on the mound and 14 in the field. As a pitcher he went 2-3 with a 7.63 ERA in 36.1 innings pitched. Kolenda had 24 strikeouts and opponents had a .264 batting average. At the plate he had 14 hits in 33 at bats for a .424 batting average. Kolenda scored eight runs, had one double, three homeruns, seven homeruns, a slugging percentage of .727 and an on base percentage of .457. He earned KCAC Pitcher of the Week once last season.

High School: Kolenda was a three year letter winner for Bishop Ward High School. He helped the Cyclones to the 2009 Baseball Kansas 4A State Semifinals.
